Mid-Level Automation Test Engineer – IAM & Cloud Security

Our client is a global leader in redefining Identity and Access Management (IAM) and cloud security, focusing on secure, scalable workload identities and access workflows across Google Cloud Platform.

• At least 2 years of practical experience in backend automation testing using Python and Pytest.
• Knowledge of IAM concepts and testing API-driven services including REST, Postman, Insomnia.
• Experience with event-driven systems like Pub/Sub, queues, Kafka, or batch processing.
• Familiarity with identity protocols/formats such as SCIM, LDAP, REST API, OIDC, CSV.
• Understanding of policy-based access models (RBAC, ABAC, ReBAC, PBAC).
• Proficiency with test management tools such as JIRA and Zephyr.
• Exposure to CI/CD practices and automation integration.
• Cloud testing experience, ideally with GCP; additional AWS, Azure, Entra exposure is advantageous.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice to have:

• Experience in consumer-driven contract testing.
• Knowledge of policy-as-code tools (OPA, Rego).
• Exposure to graph databases (Neo4j) or graph relationship testing.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g., n8n) and GenAI tools supporting QA.
• Containerized testing patterns.
• Performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, NeoLoad).
• Experience with GitOps repositories, Vault (HashiCorp), or security governance testing.

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and data aligned with technical specifications.
• Support and maintain test entry/exit criteria with full traceability.
• Participate in test case reviews and quality assurance processes.
• Support SIT, OAT, and UAT scenario definitions with business and technical teams.
• Produce testing artifacts compliant with audit and regulatory standards.
• Build, maintain, and enhance backend automation scripts using Python and Pytest for API and integration testing.
• Validate event-driven systems such as Pub/Sub, queues, and Kafka, including replay and data integrity scenarios.
• Test functions and decision logic "as code," including policy-as-code assessments.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and generate reporting.
• Manage synthetic and anonymized test data sets for repeatable testing.
• Track, report, and debug defects clearly communicating with stakeholders.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment to improve quality practices and automation efficacy.
