Within the Structured Finance & Liquidity team (SFL), you will work on banking applications supporting structured finance activities, liquidity calculations and regulatory reporting. Your role will be to contribute to the development and maintenance of information systems used by Société Générale’s Corporate and Investment Banking business. The team works closely with business users, Business Analysts and IT teams located in Paris and Warsaw. As we continue to grow our entity in Poland, we are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer who will help build and enhance backend solutions, support technical design and ensure that delivered solutions meet both business and regulatory requirements.
Wymagania
- 5+ years experience in Java backend development
- Experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks
- Proficient in using Jenkins and Maven
- Comfortable working with relational databases and SQL
- Ability to translate mathematical equations into code
- Understanding of web services and familiarity with monitoring tools like Logstash, Kibana, and Elasticsearch (nice to have)
- Experience working efficiently in Agile environments and BDD practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Customer-oriented, team player, and values partnership-based relationships
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to plan and prioritize work
- Fluent in English (knowledge of Polish or French is an asset)
Obowiązki
- Develop code following Software Craftsmanship best practices and quality standards including technical debt management, clean code, code reviews, peer programming, and infrastructure as code
- Understand business requirements and define technical solutions accordingly
- Regularly deliver product increments
- Collaborate closely with the development team located in Paris remotely
- Apply release processes and provide L1/L2/L3 support for production issues with technical fixes
- Integrate Agile methodology by participating and contributing to all ceremonies
- Collaborate on specifications, test plans, and certification together with Business Analysts
- Provide technical analysis, effort estimation, and risk assessment to support project scoping
- Seek solutions ensuring security, scalability, and efficiency
- Analyze errors and contribute to continuous improvement
- Share knowledge with other team members
- Participate in weekend operations for resiliency tests and upgrades (2-3 weekends per year)
- Develop and maintain continuous delivery tools
- Create and manage technical documentation
