Architect Lead

FUN CRAFTERS SP. Z O O. is building a new mobile game aiming to reach hundreds of millions of users and process billions of events every day. The company is creating a data platform to support decision-making across product, LiveOps, and marketing functions.

• 7+ years in Data Engineering including 2+ years as a tech lead or architect with experience designing data platforms end-to-end.
• Strong architectural judgment, clear design documentation, and ability to defend decisions.
• Expertise in cloud platforms, preferably AWS (including S3, Kinesis, ECS, Athena).
• Hands-on experience with ETL orchestration tools such as Airflow.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and analytics best practices including schema design, partitioning, and versioning.
• Hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure as code.
• Proficiency in Python and strong skills in writing and optimizing SQL.
• Experience hiring, mentoring, and growing engineers.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

• Define and own the end-to-end architecture of the data platform.
• Make, document, and defend key technology decisions balancing scalability, cost, and team capacity.
• Partner with game, analytics, and marketing leadership to translate business needs into a platform roadmap with clear priorities and SLAs.
• Build core parts of the platform hands-on.
• Hire, mentor, and grow the data engineering team. Establish engineering practices, review culture, and operational discipline.
