Senior Generative AI Engineer

IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries. The role involves developing the Orion GenAI Platform to accelerate development and delivery of Generative AI products, standardize technology stacks, and facilitate innovation for application teams.

• Proven experience in designing robust software architectures for large-scale platforms.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and testing methodologies.
• Deep knowledge of transformer architectures, embedding models, large language models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI agents.
• Background in data engineering and machine learning engineering; experience with Databricks is a plus.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
• Expertise in advanced Python programming.
• Proficiency in web technologies, particularly JavaScript.
• Experience with parallel processing and GPU/CUDA programming is a nice-to-have.
• Master’s degree in relevant fields preferred.
• At least 8 years of software engineering experience, with focus on AI and GenAI.

• Design and architect the Orion Generative AI Platform to support scalable and efficient product deployment.
• Implement strategies to accelerate development and delivery lifecycle of GenAI products.
• Develop and enforce standardized technology stacks and best practices.
• Provide standard components and tools to enable rapid innovation by application teams.
• Abstract and manage complex technical challenges to shield application teams.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate GenAI solutions seamlessly.
