Distributed Systems Engineer 4 - Data Platform Poland

Netflix is a global entertainment company focused on streaming. The Data Platform team provides centralized data platforms and tools to enable business functions to utilize data efficiently, securely, and responsibly. The Poland-based Data Platform team works on evolving and innovating Netflix's data infrastructure products and infrastructure.

• Minimum 2 years experience building features or applications for large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency in designing and developing RESTful web services.
• Experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.
• Experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages and scripting languages such as Python.
• Comfortable with multi-threading challenges.
• Educational or professional background in computer science, engineering, or related field.

Nice to have:

• Front-end engineering skills.

• Take ownership of internal data platform products including ZooKeeper, ensuring reliability, scalability, and evolution.
• Build and maintain data infrastructure for experiment A/B testing, including storing and governing experiment records and semantic layers.
• Develop and own data connectors for moving and integrating data across business domains.
• Build automated system integration test frameworks for batch and streaming connectors.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives collaborating with engineers, product managers, and technical program managers.
• Share experiences and contribute to Netflix OSS projects.
