Senior Fullstack Engineer (Node.js, Vue.js)

OBI Smart Technologies is a joint venture between OBI and Reply Group, responsible for co-designing, building, and operating mission-critical digital platforms for commerce, customer service, and omnichannel retail. They focus on implementing standardized processes and scalable digital products to support one of Europe’s largest DIY retailers, advancing product internationalization and the digital mindset of their partners.

• Completed university degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Strong background with 5+ years of fullstack software development and hands-on delivery of production systems.
• Solid command of TypeScript, Node.js, and backend frameworks such as NestJS.
• Practical knowledge of building frontend applications using Vue or Nuxt.
• Good understanding of event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka.
• Familiarity with cloud environments including AWS services: ECS, EKS, EC2, IAM, Lambda.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, specifically GitLab CI, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Ability to participate in technical design discussions, system architecture topics, and cross-team engineering challenges.
• Strong communication skills in English and Polish, with readiness to work in a hybrid model in Katowice.

• Design and maintain backend services and APIs using TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS, including architectural decision-making and trade-off evaluations.
• Build and support frontend applications using Vue and Nuxt, ensuring good developer-facing user experience.
• Develop internal tools and platforms to enhance developer productivity, system visibility, and workflow automation.
• Evaluate technical solutions balancing cost, performance, complexity, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers on cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability integration.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvements.
• Build POCs to validate new technologies and foster experimentation.
