Software Engineer in Cloud Team

CloudFerro develops technology used by European leaders in science and the space sector, including ESA, EUMETSAT, ECMWF, Mercator Ocean International, DLR, and EGI, focusing on Earth Observation and digital infrastructure for Europe.

• Minimum 3 years of programming experience in commercial projects.
• Completed or ongoing studies in computer science or related fields.
• Write clear and efficient code in Python.
• Experience with multithreaded and multiprocess code.
• Experience in microservices architecture and asynchronous communication methods (RPC, queues).
• Solid knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Proficiency with Linux.
• Experience writing unit tests following TDD.
• Willingness to continually develop and update knowledge.
• Fluent in English.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Java and Keycloak.
• Knowledge of Golang and Envoy.
• Knowledge of C++.
• Knowledge of OpenStack.
• Experience programming with SPDK/DPDK.
• Previous code contributions to OpenStack/kolla-ansible.
• Experience with Kubernetes.

• Develop end user monitoring framework.
• Develop system processing provisioning and IAM events.
• Participate actively in R&D on scheduling, NVMe-Of, SPDK/DPDK, GPU clustering, multi-tenant high-availability networked file systems, SDN, Software Defined Data Center, and multi-dimensional cloud scaling.
• Add new features to OpenStack, create added services and applications, perform technical improvements such as refactoring and expanding test coverage.
