Java/Kafka Developer-Analyst (Data Platform)

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Apache Kafka in production environments including brokers, topics, partitioning, schemas, replication, Kafka Streams, and kSQL, plus experience with Kafka Connect (configuration and development of connectors).
• Proficient knowledge of Java and the Spring framework (Boot, Cloud, Security, Data) and familiarity with Python.
• Experience with MongoDB (schema design, indexing, query optimization), GraphQL (service implementation, schema definition, resolvers) and basic knowledge of Apache Iceberg (table format, metadata management).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry; understanding of data security principles including TLS, SASL, ACL, encryption at rest and in transit.
• Experience working in Agile methodologies using Scrum/Kanban with tools like Jira/Confluence.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and communicate with stakeholders, translating needs into technical specifications and documentation (use-cases/user-stories).
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model based in Wrocław, with 2 days per week in the office.

Nice to have:

• Experience with speed coaching sessions and sports team activities (not mandatory, listed as offered benefits).

• Collaborate with analysts, IT teams, and business stakeholders to analyze requirements and map data between source systems, streaming platforms, and ODS databases.
• Design and implement data platform solutions, including building microservices, query layers, communication structures, and data integration between systems.
• Implement monitoring, metrics, and observability, diagnose data flow issues, optimize performance and costs.
• Work within Agile teams following Scrum/Kanban methodologies.

Work must be performed on the territory of Poland (citizenship, resident card, visa, etc. required).
