Technical Product Manager

BJAK is a company founded in 2019 that built the first mobile-first insurance platform, leading in Southeast Asia. It is expanding its offerings to include spending, saving, investing, exchanging, travelling, and more, aiming to help people get more from their money every day. The company operates globally with diverse teams and focuses on next-generation financial products.

• Significant experience owning a complex technical product end-to-end with strong judgment under ambiguity.
• Solid technical foundation in system design including boundaries, datastores, workflows, APIs, failure modes, and concurrency consistency.
• Experience in a regulated or high-consequence domain such as payments, banking, remittance, or insurance, or fast ramp ability.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based AI products and ability to frame features for evaluation.

Nice to have:

• Engineering or highly technical PM background.
• Experience with zero-to-one and AI-heavy consumer products.
• Defined evaluation metrics for ML/LLM systems.
• Intuition for AI UX and failure handling.
• Experience with the Southeast Asia market.

• Own a vertical end-to-end, managing outcomes, metrics, and prioritizing backlog by value, risk, dependencies, and strategic priority.
• Shape the technical design with engineering, including system boundaries, money-movement correctness, third-party reliance, failure modes, security, latency, scalability, and recovery.
• Make trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability, and UX, defending decisions to engineering, compliance, or operations leads.
• Treat regulated constraints as first-class product inputs, including licensing, KYC/CDD, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, data residency, and privacy.
• Apply AI where appropriate, defining decisions, human in the loop processes, evaluation, and behavior when uncertain.
• Ship features behind flags and go live as regulatory and partner gates clear.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance/Reconciliation teams.

This role is remote but requires candidates to be based in Poland. English language proficiency is required for communication across global teams.
