IT Operations Engineer

• 5+ years in IT operations or application support (2nd/3rd line) or similar production-facing role
• Proven ability to own incidents end-to-end from alert to RCA and prevention
• 2+ years working within an ITIL framework (incident, problem, change management)
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments alongside development teams
• Excellent English communication skills (C1 level), able to explain technical issues clearly
• Proficiency with Jenkins for building and maintaining pipelines
• Experience improving and maintaining CI/CD pipelines automation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex production issues
• Proficiency with log analysis and alerting tools: Splunk, Sysdig
• Fluency in observability tooling: Prometheus, Grafana
• Comfortable operating services on Kubernetes (pod health, logs, restarts)
• Excellent skills with Ansible for controlled configuration changes
• Strong knowledge of Docker and Docker Compose
• Basic scripting skills in Bash and Python for automation

Nice to have:

• IBM Datastage operational experience
• Awareness or willingness to learn Pega and Airflow

Application & data layer:

• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, DB2) including querying and interpreting execution plans
• Working knowledge of ETL applications and REST API communication
• Experience supporting distributed systems and platform services like Kafka message flow
• Background in Java development for understanding solutions and integrations

• Own the RCA process for production incidents: diagnose, resolve, and implement preventive measures
• Continuously monitor service health and detect anomalies early
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and related tooling
• Ensure stability and alignment of Pre-Production and Production environments
• Document operational procedures and known issues (runbook and knowledge management)
• Collaborate with development and platform teams to triage issues and clarify operational requirements
• Identify recurring pain points and propose automation or tooling to reduce toil
• Improve observability coverage: dashboards, alerts, log queries
• Contribute to service continuity initiatives and disaster recovery drills
