Inżynier Kafka

• Minimum 4 years of experience with Apache Kafka.
• Proven expertise with Confluent Platform (Enterprise) and Confluent Cloud.
• Hands-on experience in cluster migration and replication tools (MirrorMaker 2, Cluster Linking, Replicator).
• Strong AWS knowledge: VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS, MSK, S3, KMS, Secrets Manager.
• Proficiency in Terraform with experience in modules, linting, and testing.
• Experience with Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins.
• Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Ansible, and Bash.
• Monitoring experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Confluent Control Center, OpenTelemetry, ELK Stack.
• Security expertise including TLS, SASL, ACL, RBAC, and encryption in transit and at rest.
• Agile delivery experience (Scrum/Kanban) and familiarity with Jira and Confluence.

Nice to have:

• AWS, Confluent, or Terraform certifications.
• Experience automating integration and performance tests for Kafka.
• Exposure to streaming ecosystem tools such as Apache Flink and Kafka Connect at scale.

• Design hybrid Kafka topologies connecting on-premises and AWS environments.
• Select and configure Confluent Platform components such as Schema Registry, Flink, Control Center, Tableflow.
• Deploy and configure Kafka clusters in AWS MSK and Confluent Cloud.
• Implement observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and Confluent Control Center.
• Configure MirrorMaker 2, Cluster Linking, and Confluent Replicator.
• Ensure low-latency, high-consistency data transfers across environments.
• Define CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Jenkins for Kafka workloads, schema deployments, and consumer applications.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including module development, testing, and automated apply.
• Automate integration tests for Kafka-based solutions.
• Develop runbooks, alerts, and SLAs/SLOs for the hybrid Kafka estate.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimize configurations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Data Platform teams including Data Engineering, DevOps, and Security.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical knowledge-sharing sessions.
