Lead Frontend Engineer

The Engineering Platform team builds shared frameworks, developer tooling, and platform capabilities to improve scalability and delivery velocity across products.

• 5-7+ years of professional frontend development experience with 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and React.
• Deep experience with shared design systems using frameworks like PrimeReact, Material UI, Bootstrap, or Tailwind.
• Strong understanding of semantic HTML, modern CSS, preprocessors (SASS/LESS), and responsive UI design.
• Experience implementing Micro Frontend architectures or modular UI strategies.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and asynchronous programming patterns (async/await, Promises).
• Experience with frontend performance profiling and cross-browser testing.
• Deep knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and frontend build tools like Vite or Webpack.
• Experience with testing frameworks.

Preferred:

• Background in .NET, Node.js, or Python for cross-stack collaboration.
• Understanding of UX principles and design system governance.
• Experience with AI-driven UI/UX such as chatbot integration and adaptive layouts.
• Familiarity with design and prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.

• Set and communicate technical vision for frontend architecture across multiple platform teams.
• Lead development of shared UI infrastructure, design system components, and micro frontend integration using React, TypeScript, and PrimeReact.
• Collaborate with Staff and Principal Engineers to align with architectural goals and cloud-first principles.
• Partner with product, UX, and engineering leadership to deliver scalable frontend capabilities.
• Guide best practices in accessibility, performance, test automation, and maintainability.
• Drive architectural reviews, pair programming, mentoring, and hands-on development.
• Contribute to and evolve CI/CD workflows, component versioning, and documentation.
• Champion frontend performance techniques including lazy loading, code splitting, asset optimization, and telemetry.
• Define and enforce UI testing standards using Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers to strengthen technical leadership.
• Lead AI-enhanced UI/UX initiatives involving smart component behavior and adaptive interfaces.
