Senior Software Engineer - Kubernetes Platform

CloudFerro is building a sovereign European cloud platform from the ground up as a real alternative to global hyperscalers. The company focuses on creating a Kubernetes- and open-source-based PaaS stack, including serverless, managed databases, MLOps, monitoring, and observability, aimed at supporting the European space industry, climate research and scientific projects.

• Strong Kubernetes experience: independently built, operated, or maintained complex systems running on Kubernetes.
• Distributed systems design: practical experience designing scalable, reliable, and highly available services.
• Strong Go skills and good Python knowledge: comfortable building operators, controllers, APIs, and CLI tools.
• API and integration experience: design API wrappers and integrate services using REST and/or gRPC.
• AI-assisted development: daily use of tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.

Nice to have:

• Experience with ML platforms: Kubeflow, JupyterHub, GPU scheduling on Kubernetes.
• Experience with Airflow or other workflow orchestration platforms.
• Observability technologies: Prometheus/Thanos, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry.
• Multi-tenant monitoring: exposing metrics and logs securely per customer.
• Terraform providers: developing custom Terraform resources or providers.
• Cloud provider experience: working on cloud services or within cloud platform environments.
• Open-source contributions, especially within CNCF ecosystem.

• Own MLOps and Observability end-to-end: responsibility for Kubeflow, Airflow, Jupyter Notebooks, and Observability as a Service from architecture to production reliability.
• Develop the monitoring platform: build customer-facing observability services based on infrastructure foundations.
• Deliver features end-to-end: implement operator/service integration through API endpoints, CLI commands, Terraform resources, and documentation.
• Integrate with shared platform services: connect services with IAM, billing, and quota management systems.
• Shape engineering standards: collaborate with Product Engineers to define technical direction and establish best practices.
