Senior Software & Platform Engineer

CloudFerro develops technologies used daily by European leaders in science and the space sector, including ESA, EUMETSAT, ECMWF, Mercator Ocean International, DLR, and EGI. The company operates closely with the Earth Observation sector, supporting analyses and better understanding of our planet. The role is part of the Enterprise Architecture team defining architectural and engineering standards for the whole organization and supporting product teams on demanding projects such as satellite data processing for ESA.

• Minimum 8 years of commercial experience building efficient distributed systems and understanding architectural challenges.
• Very good knowledge of Python or Golang and high standards of clean code.
• Understanding of Kubernetes from the application perspective and ability to debug complex issues in K8s.
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD, GitOps, and Observability standards (including Prometheus and Thanos).
• Ability to share knowledge, conduct substantive discussions, and support other engineers.
• Higher education degree (Computer Science or related) and communicative English.
• Readiness to work in a hybrid model (minimum 3 days per week from the office in Warsaw).

• Defining architectural standards in Observability, CI/CD, GitOps, and Kubernetes.
• Providing consulting and support to development teams on complex technological and integration challenges.
• Participating in designing technically and business-wise scalable and highly available solutions.
• Promoting good coding practices in Python and Go, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Code Review, and process optimization using AI tools.
