Senior Business Analyst / Data Analyst

The team is part of a global technology organization of about 425 people, developing automation solutions to reduce manual work, increase deployment safety, and improve system reliability and resilience. The team is distributed across Poland, the UK, India, China, and Mexico, working closely with product, technical, and operational teams within the Polish time zone.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Minimum 2–3 years of practical experience in Data Analysis.
• Experience in requirements gathering, user stories creation, and preparing BRD and FRD/FRS documentation.
• Very good knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas for data processing and cleaning.
• Experience in process/workflow mapping, analysis, and improvement.
• Practical knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Basic knowledge of Python or R in the context of working with data.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working on large and complex projects/initiatives; banking experience is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize, identify risks, and propose solutions.
• Very good communication skills and ability to present complex data to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Good knowledge of the English language.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of SQL and ability to create queries for data retrieval and filtering.
• Experience with Workload Automation tools, especially Control-M.
• Using AI tools for data analysis, work automation, or scripting.

• Gathering and analysing client requirements and translating them into concrete business, functional, and technical requirements for engineering teams.
• Creating user stories, BRD, FRD/FRS, diagrams, and AS-IS/TO-BE process maps.
• Conducting workshops, interviews, and meetings with stakeholders to refine requirements.
• Collecting, organizing, and cleaning data from multiple sources, both structured and unstructured.
• Analyzing data to support decision-making, project feasibility, impact, and risk assessment.
• Creating dashboards, reports, and data visualizations, translating analysis results into actionable recommendations for engineering and leadership teams.
• Analyzing current processes and recommending improvements and automation opportunities.
• Collaborating with Product Owners, users, clients, and development teams.
