AI Engineering Manager

deepsense.ai is a 120-person AI/ML consultancy with Anthropic and OpenAI partner credentials. For over a decade they have delivered applied AI projects for companies like J&J, Sky, John Deere, and GLS, spanning LLM applications, agents, MLOps, and data science.

• 7+ years of professional experience, with 3+ years in delivery, engineering, or program management including direct line-management responsibility
• Proven track record delivering AI/ML projects with strong delivery and people leadership skills
• Strong client-facing and advisory skills including running discovery and workshops and engaging senior stakeholders
• Background in consultancy or professional services with understanding of delivery-commercial balance
• Hands-on engineering experience with ability to contribute to architecture conversations
• Fluency with the modern AI stack including LLMs, RAG, agents, and MLOps to credibly lead engineers
• Excellent English communication skills at C1 level (written and spoken)

Nice to have:

• Product ownership or product management experience including backlog, roadmap, and discovery
• Experience building delivery or product practices from scratch

• Own end-to-end delivery of AI/ML engagements, ensuring quality, predictability, and business impact
• Act as a trusted client-facing partner by translating business goals into deliverable scope and gaining senior stakeholder confidence
• Run discovery and workshops with clients to understand their business and prioritize AI use-cases
• Manage delivery governance including scope, risk, dependencies, and staffing to maintain engagement health
• Line-manage a team of AI engineers with responsibilities including 1-on-1s, feedback, growth, performance, and team composition
• Support presales activities such as scoping, proposals, and shaping engagements
• Strengthen delivery practices through playbooks, standards, and knowledge sharing across teams
