Product Owner, Tax and Accounts Payable (m/f)

McCormick & Company is hiring for a Product Owner role focused on Tax and Accounts Payable technology products. The position involves working at the intersection of business strategy, process expertise, and technology delivery within a global enterprise environment, with emphasis on SAP and related financial systems.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline.
• Master's degree or MBA is advantageous.
• Certifications such as SAP, PMP, ITIL, Agile, Scrum Product Owner are advantageous.
• Experience developing, implementing, and supporting technology products in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience as Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Process Lead, or similar role.
• Experience with full lifecycle implementations, preferably global or multi-region deployments.
• Strong functional knowledge of Tax and Accounts Payable processes and related finance process integrations.
• Strong understanding of SAP finance and logistics integration, including modules such as FI, SD, MM, PP, and tax impacts.
• Experience with tax solutions like Vertex and SAP Document and Reporting Compliance.
• Experience with Accounts Payable and invoice processing solutions such as Ariba and Kofax.
• Knowledge of Concur is advantageous.
• Experience working with SAP and non-SAP systems in global environments.
• Experience in Agile software development environments using tools like Jira and Azure DevOps.
• Ability to create and drive product strategies, roadmaps, and delivery plans.
• Strong knowledge of product ownership, backlog management, agile delivery, requirements definition, and solution design.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Proactive mindset with continuous improvement focus.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage ambiguity, and prioritize effectively.
• Strong business acumen, ownership, and accountability.

• Define product vision, strategy, roadmap, and priorities for Tax and Accounts Payable technology products.
• Manage product backlog with clear priorities and business value.
• Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
• Ensure backlog items meet definition of ready before sprint planning.
• Ensure delivered items meet definition of done before sprint demo or release.
• Act as subject matter expert for Tax and Accounts Payable processes, systems, and integrations.
• Partner with business teams to identify process improvements, automation, and product enhancements.
• Support product line roadmap with priorities, dependencies, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead and support agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work with delivery teams to ensure compliant solutions aligned with business needs and technical standards.
• Support full lifecycle implementations, enhancements, deployments, and ongoing product support.
• Communicate product value, features, delivery progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
• Act as voice of product team to leadership, identifying challenges and opportunities.
• Support issue resolution for production support, projects, and enhancements.
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and market trends related to Tax, Accounts Payable, SAP, automation, and digital finance solutions.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.
