Senior Business IT Consultant (Manufacturing)

The Business & Technology Solutions (BTS) department supports clients in manufacturing by bridging business objectives with IT solutions to improve or transform business processes.

• Minimum 2 years of experience related to manufacturing, especially in machinery, pharmacy, or automotive.
• Understanding of software development processes and basic IT architecture concepts.
• Familiarity with Digital Manufacturing, Industrial IoT, Industry 4.0, Shop Floor Integration, and Edge Computing.
• Experience with IT systems supporting production and logistics such as ERP, MES, SCADA.
• Knowledge and experience with relational databases and SQL is an asset.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in English (minimum B2+); German is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking to propose solutions focusing on business goals.

• Conduct consulting and roll-out projects for clients in the manufacturing industry.
• Organize and moderate meetings and workshops with client representatives to gather and structure business requirements.
• Analyze, model, and identify improvements in business processes and IT systems for optimization.
• Cooperate with customers, technology experts, and development teams to design or change IT solutions.
• Define requirements and create specifications for new or transformed IT systems.
• Present solution ideas to stakeholders to gain acceptance and commitment.
• Identify business development opportunities and contribute to new client offers.
• Support and mentor less experienced consultants and lead consulting teams.
