Senior Java Test Automation Engineer

Our Client dominates the Polish e-commerce arena as the market leader since 1999 with a user base of over 20 million. The project involves launching new digital products and services built around microservices architecture, extensive API integrations, and modern engineering practices. Jit Team has had a partnership with this client since 2021, supporting multiple autonomous software development teams designing platform components through microservices. The company developing these solutions employs over 1,000 IT professionals focusing on proprietary technologies.

• 3+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer or Test Automation Engineer
• Commercial experience in backend test automation
• Strong knowledge of Java
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, REST Assured or similar
• Experience with REST API testing
• Practical knowledge of Postman
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Experience working with microservices architecture
• Good knowledge of Git
• Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot issues
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable test automation code
• English at B2 level or higher

Nice to have:

• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar)
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Understanding of contract testing and service virtualization
• Experience working in e-commerce or high-traffic platforms

• Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites
• Creating test scenarios and test cases based on business and technical requirements
• Performing manual, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
• Testing REST APIs and microservices-based applications
• Analyzing test results and reporting defects
• Collaborating closely with Developers, Product Managers, and QA Engineers
• Participating in sprint planning, refinements, and release activities
• Supporting and improving CI/CD pipelines used in testing processes
• Ensuring high software quality standards throughout the SDLC
• Identifying quality risks and proposing process improvements
• Contributing to the continuous evolution of QA best practices within the team
