ML/MLOps Engineer in Germany

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an MLOps Engineer or ML Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with Kubeflow Pipelines (KFP v2).
• Experience training models on GPUs.
• Experience fine-tuning large language models and transformers.
• Proficiency with MLflow for model tracking.
• Experience with boosting models such as XGBoost and CatBoost.
• Deep proficiency in the Python ecosystem and modern engineering practices.
• Experience working in regulated or enterprise cloud-native environments.
• Experience with SQL and large-scale data processing.
• CI/CD experience, preferably with GitLab CI, and adherence to clean code and testing practices.
• English language skills at intermediate+ level or above.

Nice to have:

• Pre-training experience for LLMs beyond fine-tuning.
• Experience with GPU orchestration in Kubernetes.
• Experience in zero-trust environments, including network policies and restrictive container rights.
• Knowledge of DuckDB.
• Experience with modern Python tooling (uv).

• Building and orchestrating ML pipelines using Kubeflow Pipelines (KFP v2).
• Training models on GPUs, including GPU resource management within Kubernetes.
• Fine-tuning transformers/LLMs and tracking experiments and models via MLflow.
• Building classic ML models such as XGBoost and CatBoost.
• Working with data using SQL Server and DuckDB for efficient in-cluster processing.
• Developing in Python for pipelines, integrations, and tooling based on uv.
• Ensuring code quality through testing and CI/CD using GitLab CI.
• Operating within zero-trust and secure-by-default environments including network policies and restrictive container rights.

• The position requires English language skills at intermediate+ level or above.
• German language skills at upper-intermediate level or above are preferred.
