Link Group is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer to join a team responsible for supporting and maintaining critical applications in a production environment. The role involves application support, IT Service Management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation within an international environment.

Wymagania

  • 5–7+ years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, IT Operations or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux and Shell Scripting.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and databases.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, preferably Python.
  • Solid experience in troubleshooting and supporting applications in production environments.
  • Experience with technologies such as ELK, Kafka, and Zookeeper.
  • Experience with Geneos ITRS, Airflow, and/or BMC Control-M is an advantage.
  • Understanding of IT Service Management, particularly Incident, Problem and Change Management.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve productivity and automate day-to-day activities.
  • Ability to independently investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Effective under pressure and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Very good command of English, both written and spoken.

Obowiązki

  • Provide in-depth technical BAU application and production support.
  • Manage incidents, problems and changes of varying complexity in line with IT Service Management processes.
  • Monitor applications, processes and environments using tools such as Geneos ITRS, Airflow, and BMC Control-M.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot technical and production issues, identify root causes and drive them through to resolution.
  • Work closely with UNIX, database, network and upstream/downstream application teams to maintain and improve service stability.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements and take ownership of their implementation.
  • Work with development teams to drive bug fixes and application enhancements that improve platform stability and supportability.
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) testing and support remediation activities.
  • Follow established Change Control and Fault Reporting procedures.
  • Identify, assess and manage operational risks and audit points through to closure.
  • Proactively share knowledge and provide cross-training within the team.
  • Prioritize workload effectively in a complex and fast-paced environment.
