Test & Release Manager

COMARCH is a company hiring for a mid-level Test & Release Manager position with offices in Kraków, Gdańsk, Łódź, and Poznań. The role involves managing software delivery and release management processes, emphasizing coordination across multi-disciplinary IT teams of approximately 10 people or more.

• Experience organizing testing and deployment processes in medium and large-scale projects with multidisciplinary IT teams (~10+ members).
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and techniques (functional, integration, regression) and software lifecycle (SDLC).
• Practical ability to read BPMN/UML diagrams and work with Jira, Confluence, and Git.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Swagger) and libraries such as Spring Boot Test, Testcontainers, WireMock, or MockServer.
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level.
• Strong organization, meticulousness, punctuality, and goal-oriented mindset.
• Openness to using Generative AI tools (e.g., Gemini, GitHub Copilot) and enthusiasm for process automation.

Nice to have:

• Practical experience with performance testing tools (e.g., Gatling, WebLoad, JMeter, HP UFT).
• Experience collaborating closely with DevOps and IT Ops in CI/CD processes.
• Possession of ISTQB certification.
• Practical experience in optimizing testing processes using AI-based tools.

Release Management:

• Plan releases and make critical Go/No-Go deployment decisions including risk assessment and rollback.
• Oversee deployment and manage code publication to production in coordination with DevOps and IT Ops.
• Coordinate dependencies and control release scope among multiple development teams.
• Manage stakeholder communication including informing business about timelines, downtimes, and preparing Release Notes.

Quality Assurance:

• Design and perform tests by creating scenarios and test cases following ISTQB standards.
• Lead and coordinate functional, performance, and regression testing.
• Build and maintain automated API, web, and mobile tests.
• Continuously report detected bugs and monitor current application quality.
