QA Automation Tester (Web & Mobile)

Scalo is a company delivering software projects and supporting partners in business development. Their areas include technology consulting, software development, embedded systems, cloud solutions, data management, and dedicated project teams.

• Minimum 3 years experience testing web and mobile applications.
• Practical experience in automation of Web, Mobile, and/or API tests.
• Experience testing REST APIs using tools like Postman, Swagger, or REST Assured.
• Knowledge of at least one automation programming language, e.g., Java, Kotlin, Swift, Python, or TypeScript.
• Practical knowledge of Selenium or Playwright.
• Experience with tools supporting mobile app testing such as TestFlight, Firebase App Distribution, or BrowserStack.
• Ability to create, maintain, and execute test scenarios and cases.
• Knowledge of SQL for independent data verification.
• Familiarity with QA and SDLC tools like Jenkins, TestRail, Jira, Confluence, Git, Bitbucket, or GitLab.
• Practical experience with AI/LLM tools supporting testing and test automation.
• Good understanding of software quality assurance processes and the Scrum methodology.
• Ability to analyze requirements independently, identify risks, and propose solutions.
• Experience supporting test automation development and quality standards.
• English proficiency at minimum B1/B2 level for technical documentation work.

Nice to have:

• Experience building or developing test automation processes/frameworks from scratch.
• Experience in e-commerce projects or large-scale systems.
• Experience testing recommendation systems, personalization, or solutions utilizing A/B testing.
• Experience mentoring or technically supporting less experienced QA specialists.

• Participate in the development of a recommendation system supporting personalized shopping experiences in e-commerce.
• Test web and mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms.
• Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Test REST APIs and create and develop automated tests for API, Web, and Mobile.
• Develop processes and standards for test automation, including building solutions from scratch.
• Prepare and maintain scenarios and test cases.
• Analyze errors, logs, and test results; document detected defects.
• Utilize AI/LLM tools for requirement analysis, test case design, test data generation, error analysis, and supporting automated test creation.
• Verify new solutions and functionalities, including those developed with experiments and A/B testing.
• Collaborate with testers, developers, and other specialists involved in project delivery.
• Support the development of quality standards, QA best practices, and automation direction.
• Location of project: Gdańsk, mode: 100% remote or hybrid, 1–2 days weekly at client's office in Gdańsk.
