Software Engineer (Kotlin&Java)

Their expertise centers on web development, cloud engineering, DevOps, and quality. They have developed their own product - Yieldbird, awarded in the Top25 Deloitte awards. The client is one of the largest e-commerce platforms in Europe, connecting sellers with customers and offering a vertical-specific user experience for the automotive category as part of a strategic initiative.

• Ability to effectively use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and OpenCode.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Hands-on experience developing backend applications using Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and implementing microservices architecture solutions.
• Focused on building, testing, and maintaining high-quality backend services and APIs.
• Ability to design architecture of new modules and improve existing systems.
• Experience collaborating with product and business teams including Product Managers, Data Analysts, and UX Designers.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and commitment to high engineering standards.

Nice to have:

• Versatility and cross-functional skills in frontend or mobile technologies (Web, iOS, Android).
• Intermediate knowledge of MongoDB and Spring Data MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Build and evolve microservices architecture solutions ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Design architecture of new modules and backend components and contribute to key technical decisions.
• Continuously optimize and improve existing systems for performance, scalability, and code quality.
• Work with MongoDB, Spring Data MongoDB, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as part of the application ecosystem.
• Write and maintain high-quality, well-tested code following engineering best practices.
• Use AI-assisted and agentic coding tools as part of daily development workflow.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Data Analysts, UX Designers, and engineers to translate product and business needs into technical solutions.
• Occasionally contribute to web or mobile development beyond backend depending on project needs.
