Regular/Senior UX Designer

This is a UX design role inside Qt's Design Tools Unit (DTU), focused on design tooling for designers and developers building production Qt applications.

Regular UX Designer:

• 2+ years of UX design experience with portfolio covering flows, wireframes, interaction design.
• Comfortable with Figma.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers and communicate design decisions.
• Some exposure to design or development tooling is advantageous.

Senior UX Designer:

• 5+ years of UX design experience with portfolio showing ownership of complex products.
• Professional standard in Figma.
• Strong understanding of designer–developer workflow.
• Comfortable designing for technical users.
• Experience with design tooling, developer tools, or B2B software.
• Experience on larger product teams with cross-area dependencies.

• Interaction and flow design: user flows, wireframes, and interaction patterns for product surfaces.
• Prototyping and validation to test assumptions early before engineering commitment.
• Collaboration with engineers through the full development cycle to maintain design intent.
• Use and contribution to DTU's shared design system.
• Clear collaboration across UX and visual design boundaries.

Senior track specific responsibilities:

• End-to-end UX responsibility for product surfaces or major features.
• Contribution to product strategy and prioritization.
• Planning and running user research to inform design decisions.
• Contributing to design system improvements.
• Systemic thinking and managing cross-area dependencies.
