• Fluency in English (written and spoken business language)
• Master’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Law, or related discipline
• Significant experience in IT governance within global, complex, matrix organizations, ideally in Insurance, Reinsurance, or Financial Services
• Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, ISO standards) and regulatory environments
• Solid understanding of IT risk management, outsourcing governance, cloud governance, and operational resilience
• Proven experience advising C-level stakeholders and preparing executive/Board-level materials
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior/executive level
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and communication skills, with ability to simplify complexity and lead through expertise

Nice to have:

• German language skills
• Experience in insurance, reinsurance, or broader financial services
• Prior involvement in large-scale IT transformation or operating model redesign initiatives

• Lead the definition, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Group-wide IT governance framework, including policies and standards
• Define and enforce governance principles across business units and geographies, ensuring structures are binding, auditable, and regulatory-compliant
• Advise C-level executives on IT governance, risk exposure, and standards rollout; prepare materials for executive committees and Board-level decisions
• Drive harmonization and maturity of governance practices across regions, ensuring transparency and operational effectiveness
• Steer governance-related transformation initiatives impacting Group Technology
• Support the creation and review of IT strategy to align with business requirements
• Coordinate and align with regional and functional stakeholders to secure consistent adoption of Group governance standards
