Forward Deployed Engineer

STX Next is a global IT consulting company specializing in customer-focused software services with a team of 500 professionals. The company builds software for European companies and adopts innovative approaches including AI pod integration and AI SDLC tooling.

• Strong broad engineering skills capable of designing, building, deploying, and running end-to-end systems across the stack in real-world client environments.
• Working command of AI, understanding current AI tool capabilities and accelerators beyond prompt literacy.
• Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions framed as commercial decisions involving cost, risk, and payback.
• Excellent communication skills, able to present clearly to diverse audiences including CTOs and CFOs.
• Ownership mentality with decision authority over technical approach, team, and client results.
• Comfort with ambiguity, working without finished specifications and adapting to evolving client needs.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written; Polish language skills if working with Polish clients.

• Own one client end to end, from initial conversation through discovery, build, production, and ongoing engagement.
• Identify real problems by observing actual business operations and evaluating manual workarounds.
• Build working prototypes to demonstrate solutions directly to the client.
• Lead and be accountable for an AI pod supporting delivery.
• Quantify and communicate value delivered in terms of cost, time, or risk savings.
• Identify and propose next projects to the client, collaborating with the commercial team on pricing and contracts.
• Provide feedback and insights to internal teams to improve estimations and playbooks for future projects.
