Senior Java Developer

IT Factory is a dynamic company with experience in the development, implementation, and support of IT solutions for a major Polish insurance company.

• Strong knowledge of Java (>5 years)
• Strong knowledge of Kafka (>3 years)
• Strong knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud (>5 years)
• Strong knowledge of SQL (>5 years)
• Knowledge of quality assurance topics including unit testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Spock) and integration testing tools (Testcontainers, WireMock)
• Knowledge of Functional Programming and Object-Oriented Programming paradigms
• Knowledge of application containerization
• Knowledge of process engines and BPMN notation
• Knowledge of resilience patterns and mechanisms in distributed systems
• Knowledge of the React framework and experience in frontend application development
• Ability to adopt AI tools in the software development process
• Knowledge of performance diagnostics tools for implemented solutions
• Service provision from Poland
• Hybrid work model — minimum 1 day in office
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level, including spoken skills

Nice to have:

• Knowledge and practical experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Experience with AI agents and Agentic AI tools in software development
• Experience with cloud solutions

• Implementing and developing the Enterprise-class claims system including configuration, parameterization, extensions, and integration with the client’s system ecosystem
• Analyzing business and technical requirements and implementing them using configuration mechanisms, product extensions, and dedicated components
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining claims system integrations with internal and external systems (API, events, integration services, corporate architecture patterns)
• Collaborating with the international solution provider in requirement analysis, design, bug fixing, and product version planning
• Recommending optimal approaches (configuration/customization/dedicated solution) and designing solutions considering functional, non-functional, regulatory, performance, and security requirements
• Supporting data migration and environment integration during new claims platform launch
• Ensuring solution quality through automated tests, participation in integration/system tests, code review, and configuration review
• Actively using AI tools and Agentic AI approach in requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation
• Participating in scrum events and daily cooperation with business, architecture, integration, testing teams, and the system provider
