Backend Developer (Scala)

• Passion for Scala and Functional Programming and continuous technical improvement.
• Proven experience delivering production software using Scala or comparable experience with JVM or Haskell.
• Interest in functional and reactive programming trends.
• Excellent communication skills and pragmatic problem-solving approach.
• Highly proficient spoken and written English.
• Bachelor's Degree in IT or equivalent.

• Experience building high-performance clustered systems and modular FP-based architectures.
• Experience with Cats, Cats Effect, ZIO, and Tagless Final.
• Experience with Event Sourcing & CQRS.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Build robust game server components using Scala and functional programming principles.
• Translate high-level game specs into executable domain logic.
• Work closely with other developers and QAs to ensure smooth integration into Evolution platform.
• Write unit and other automated tests.
• Work and communicate efficiently with the development team, including PO, front-end developers, and designers.
• Actively participate in code reviews ensuring high-quality code.
• Own applications, ensuring deployment and reliable 24/7 operation on the Kubernetes platform.
