Senior Data Product Engineer, Intelligent Platforms (all genders)

HelloFresh's HelloTech organisation is a global technology backbone with more than 1000 people building digital products for a subscription-based, direct-to-consumer food model including meal kits, ready-to-eat meals, pet food, and premium meat & seafood. The Behavioral Data & Experimentation Platform team in Warsaw owns digital tracking infrastructure globally, enabling customer experience improvements and business growth.

• Hands-on experience with AI tooling such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot beyond casual experimentation.
• Scientific or engineering degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years as a Data Engineer with production data delivery experience; 2+ years working on data platform systems like semantic layers, catalogs, or schema/governance.
• Fluency in Python and dbt, with experience building large-scale, high-quality data pipelines on modern cloud stacks.
• Proficiency in SQL for working with large datasets.
• Experience with software development practices and tools such as Git, CI/CD, and AWS.
• Expertise in leveraging Generative AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) for development, experimentation, and documentation.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with product managers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
• Ownership mentality with a bias to ship and ability to finish complex tasks.
• Product sense with the ability to back opinions with data and user evidence.

• Become an integral part of a high-impact data platform team, covering behavioral and experimentation data products.
• Design, build, and operate platform components behind behavioral data and experimentation infrastructure such as Snowplow, Statsig, Databricks, and Unity Catalog.
• Leverage Generative AI to improve and add new capabilities to the data platform.
• Build high-quality, well-modeled data pipelines for analytical purposes to enable reliable reporting, experimentation analysis, and self-serve insight across HelloFresh.
• Own reliability and scalability of data platform components including schema governance, event standards, lineage, and data quality checks.
• Extend and evolve the semantic layer, collaborating with domain teams.
• Work with technologies like AWS, Airflow, Databricks Unity Catalog, and Metric Views.
• Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and data scientists to create reusable, well-governed data products.
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to team members and stakeholders.
• Operate the systems you build, including instrumentation, monitoring, and ongoing improvements.
