Software Engineer

BlackLine is a leading provider of cloud software automating and controlling the entire financial close process. Founded in 2001, it delivers SaaS solutions focused on modernizing finance and accounting functions with innovative technology. This role supports an AI-powered Invoice-to-Cash platform that enhances accounts receivable processes.

• Expertise in using AI-driven development tools like Cursor and Claude to improve engineering velocity and quality.
• Experience in designing, building, and deploying production-grade, scalable, and secure SaaS applications.
• Proficiency in C# with strong understanding of software architecture, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience contributing to projects through all phases from requirements to launch.
• Solid foundation in modern software development practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Strong observability skills including logging, metrics, and distributed tracing across microservices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable with cross-time zone collaboration.

Nice to have:

• Experience in regulated industries such as finance or accounting.
• Knowledge of cloud-native technologies and platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with Responsible AI principles in software development context.

• Build and ship features from concept to production with clean, performant, and well-tested code.
• Utilize agentic AI development tools such as Cursor and Claude to accelerate design, coding, and testing processes.
• Participate in designing and implementing scalable and maintainable SaaS platform solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to refine requirements and contribute to the technical roadmap.
• Ensure system performance, reliability, and security for a global user base.
• Learn and grow by working alongside senior engineers and architects, gaining exposure to enterprise-scale systems and design patterns.
