(fluent Ukrainian) DevOps Engineer (EU, remote)

SupportYourApp is an international Intelligent Support-as-a-Service company providing business process outsourcing services for IT companies worldwide, including technical and user support and user experience improvement services. The company has operated for 15 years with a current international team of over 1500 specialists. They work globally supporting clients in 60 languages and cooperate with leaders such as MasterCard, Calm, and MacPaw. They also develop innovative products like Quidget to enhance customer experience.

• 3+ years experience administrating Linux servers in production environments (systemd, networking, firewall, SSH, logging, storage, processes, performance troubleshooting).
• Strong understanding of network technologies and protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, WebSockets, reverse proxy, routing, and network diagnostics.
• Practical experience with Docker and docker-compose including runtime environments, networking, volumes, debugging, and optimization.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD with automated deployment, rollback, and downtime minimization.
• Experience automating infrastructure and configuration management with Ansible.
• Experience with Nginx including reverse proxy, SSL, routing, and deployment of web applications.
• Understanding of SRE principles: reliability, observability, incident response, root cause analysis.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Promtail, Sentry or equivalents, and alerting strategies.
• Basic to intermediate experience administrating MySQL/PostgreSQL including backup/restore, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Linux and web infrastructure security best practices including hardening, access control, SSL/TLS, patching, and vulnerability handling.
• Strong troubleshooting skills including problem localization, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
• Independence and ownership in handling infrastructure tasks end-to-end.
• English language proficiency at Intermediate (B1) level or higher.

• Experience with AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with Cloudflare and Terraform.
• Experience supporting many production hosts and modernizing legacy infrastructure.
• Understanding of high-availability solutions like Keepalived, replication, failover.
• Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, Memcached.
• Understanding of MySQL/PostgreSQL replication.
• Basic skills in Python or Go.
• Experience administering WordPress/headless WordPress.
• Experience conducting post-incident reviews and root cause analysis (RCA).

• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for web products and internal services using Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
• Support gradual migration of deployment processes from Jenkins to GitLab CI.
• Ensure stable, repeatable, and predictable deployments with rollback mechanisms and minimal manual steps.
• Configure and maintain Docker-based runtime environments for web applications and services.
• Standardize Docker, docker-compose, deployment scripts, and runtime configurations to avoid frequent rework.
• Administer Linux servers in production: setup, patch management, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
• Automate infrastructure setup, configuration management, and maintenance processes using Ansible and Bash.
• Support web infrastructure including Nginx, SSL/TLS, reverse proxy, routing, Cloudflare, DNS, caching, and basic security rules.
• Configure, maintain, and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting for production systems.
• Analyze deployment failures and production incidents, identify root causes, and propose preventive actions.
• Maintain backup/restore, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting for MySQL/PostgreSQL.
• Ensure reliability and stability of production systems.
• Participate in post-incident reviews and prepare technical reports.
• Implement and maintain security practices for Linux and web infrastructure: hardening, access control, updates, and vulnerability mitigation.
• Document infrastructure solutions, deployment workflows, configurations, and major changes.
• Coordinate production changes with the team, communicate risks, and avoid critical changes without clear communication.
• Proactively identify weaknesses in deployment, infrastructure, and application architecture, and initiate mitigation.
