AI-Native UX Designer

At Motorola Solutions, a global company focused on public safety technology, the AI-Native UX Designer role is part of a diverse, AI-forward, multidisciplinary design team. The team builds essential professional tools like emergency call-taking and dispatch systems, video security solutions, and first responder applications.

• Proven track record delivering comprehensive, intuitive, end-to-end solutions for complex systems with portfolio evidence.
• Fluency in integrating modern AI tools (e.g., generative ideation, prompt-assisted design, AI plugins, automated workflows, AI prototyping) into design processes.
• Ability to articulate rationale behind design decisions related to human-in-the-loop interactions, automation boundaries, and data-driven features.
• Challenger mindset with a discipline in design craft, comfortable questioning established processes and promoting new methodologies.
• Passion for research-driven rapid ideation and emerging design paradigms such as adaptive UIs, predictive workflows, and agentic UX.
• Self-starter with strong drive for cross-functional collaboration.
• Advanced proficiency with Figma and deep knowledge of emerging AI tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience prototyping with code or AI coding assistants to build functional prototypes.
• Familiarity with designing AI systems including model capabilities, limitations, and error states.
• Experience in complex enterprise domains.
• Experience introducing new tools or processes into design organizations and guiding teams through change.

• Use modern design tools, AI, and rapid prototyping workflows to build testable artifacts such as wireframes, system flows, and interactive or code-based prototypes.
• Run structured experiments with emerging AI tools on real products, recommending adoption, standardization, or retirement of tools to enhance UX team workflows.
• Define product visions for intelligent systems in collaboration with researchers, validate human-AI interaction patterns, and conduct rigorous usability testing for mission-critical scenarios.
