Software Architect/Staff Engineer

At Motorola Solutions, a global company focused on building technologies to help protect people and places, the Emergency Call Handling team in Krakow works on a mission critical, highly available platform with a DevOps culture and continuous delivery approach. The team handles full software development lifecycle including design, implementation, testing, delivery, and maintenance in a 24/7 support model.

• 12+ years experience in building products and driving architecture
• Practical knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, and REST APIs
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math or related fields
• English language skills for efficient communication
• Leadership participation from technical or managerial perspective
• Java expertise
• Experience with Kubernetes or alternatives
• Experience with Docker or alternatives
• Cloud experience with AWS or Azure or distributed systems
• Automated testing experience
• Experience with messaging systems
• Observability and monitoring experience
• Networking knowledge
• Experience with Angular

Nice to have:

• Experience with SIP, RTP
• Experience with GStreamer

• Hands-on expert software development with deep understanding of development ecosystems
• Acting as a technical leader or key contributor with significant organizational impact
• Moving between teams and making immediate contributions
• Identifying business opportunities and aligning technology strategies accordingly
• Managing technical debt and driving its reduction
• Applying analytical skills to collect information, prioritize, and make decisions independently
