Software Engineer

SimCorp is a fintech company focused on financial technology evolution and investment management. The role is part of the Corporate Actions Product Area (Data and Post-trade Engineering Line), working on enterprise products within the Financial Instruments' Life Cycle. The team collaborates internationally with colleagues from multiple countries.

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, or similar.
• 1–3+ years of experience in C# (.NET or .NET Framework).
• Basic understanding of software development practices including version control (git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience or interest in software testing (manual and automated).
• Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle and SQLite.
• Awareness of Cloud and/or On-Prem infrastructures is a plus.
• Willingness to learn new technologies including in-house tools and APL.
• Basic understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum).
• Interest in the financial domain; knowledge of fintech or derivatives is a plus.
• Readiness to work with and support existing legacy systems.
• Good English skills (upper-intermediate or higher), both written and spoken.
• Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and effective team collaboration.

• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code in C# following coding standards.
• Learn and contribute to development in APL, including new features and bug fixes.
• Implement features based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Create and execute test cases including E2E, API, UT, and automated tests.
• Collaborate with team members, Product Owner, and Technical Leads during analysis and implementation.
• Participate in analysis of functional and non-functional requirements.
• Support existing functionality and resolve defects.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies: planning, reviews, and demos.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices, tools, and team processes.
• Gradually build understanding of full-stack development (front-end and back-end, SOA).
