Technology Risk Senior Manager, Assistant Vice President

State Street is a global financial services company that partners with institutional investors to manage risk and drive performance. The Technology Controls Assurance Team is part of the First Line of Defense function responsible for technology risk management and controls assurance.

• Expertise in IT General Controls and strong understanding of IT platforms, applications, and related technology.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mind, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven interpersonal, communication, and project management abilities.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, and Power Point.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, risk management, audit, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technology risk management, audit, and/or compliance.
• Desired certifications include CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP.

• Examine key internal IT controls and evaluate design and operating effectiveness to mitigate risk.
• Educate and mentor junior staff on control assurance and test execution practices.
• Perform high-quality reviews of testing performed by junior colleagues.
• Adhere to standard control test methodologies and deliver quality test work papers.
• Work with IT process and control owners to understand and document internal IT controls.
• Support management of the central IT Control Library within State Street’s GRC tool.
• Draft clear findings, assessment reports, presentations, and materials for senior management.

The role requires a minimum of three days per week working from the office.
