Senior AI Engineer

Relativity is a legal data intelligence company providing an AI-powered cloud platform called RelativityOne that enables users to organize data and gain actionable insights for legal work. Their AI Platform group develops agentic foundations powering AI products like aiR Assist and ClaiR. The Agent Harness team focuses on the runtime that executes these agents and their interactions.

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong and recent experience with Python building production systems.
• Hands-on experience designing and building LLM-powered or agentic systems using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent.
• Experience with tool calling, orchestration, and agent state management.
• Demonstrated strengths in solution architecture and design, including creating reusable abstractions and foundational building blocks.
• Solid understanding of modern asynchronous Python, API and service design, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience delivering cloud-native systems in Azure or similar clouds using CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• English proficiency for technical communication.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Deep Agents, multi-agent or subagent architectures, agent memory, or human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) interoperability.
• Experience building platform capabilities and developer-focused infrastructure used by multiple engineering teams.
• Experience with RAG and retrieval systems, citation frameworks, and evaluation of LLM output quality.
• Familiarity with observability, tracing, and evaluation tooling such as MLflow and OpenTelemetry.
• Experience supporting safe model upgrades through evaluation frameworks and testing practices.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Pulumi or Terraform.

• Shape the architecture of Relativity's agent runtime platform.
• Adopt and adapt industry frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, and Deep Agents to Relativity's needs.
• Mature the runtime with features like long-session handling and broader protocol support.
• Design clean abstractions enabling application teams to use foundational runtime functionality without rebuilding it.
• Continuously explore emerging agent architectures and platform capabilities in the evolving AI ecosystem.

Position is located in Poland with hybrid/remote work option. English proficiency is required for technical communication.
