Head of Data | Saily

At Saily, a company providing secure mobile data services in over 200 destinations, millions of paying customers and hundreds of thousands of travelers use their platform. Saily is rapidly growing, increasing its data volume and requires leadership for its data vertical.

• 10+ years in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or similar roles with 4+ years in leadership.
• Strong hands-on experience in data modeling and schema design, including dimensional modeling and semantic layers.
• Solid understanding of data pipelines and modern data architecture.
• Excellent SQL skills and experience with modern analytical data stacks.
• Experience owning data or analytics function or architecture.
• Leadership experience managing Data Analysts or Analytics Engineers.
• Strong stakeholder management with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and business leadership.
• Strong product and business understanding to interpret data impact.
• Entrepreneurial mindset comfortable with building from scratch and decision-making with incomplete information.

• Own the Data function across analytics, modeling, and data pipelines.
• Lead the Data Analytics team, setting priorities, direction, and operational standards.
• Own the data architecture from raw data and pipelines to analytical models and business insights.
• Define data modeling and structure including schemas, semantic layers, metrics, entities, and relationships.
• Make data easy to understand and use for people and AI.
• Own and evolve analytics infrastructure and tooling.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other teams to develop data strategy.
• Act as main point of contact for data to ensure consistency across teams.
• Set standards for data quality, documentation, governance, and reliability.
• Build and shape the Data team as the company grows.
