Senior Java Developer

Lumicode Sp. z o.o. is part of Grupa Pentacomp, a producer of IT solutions and provider of professional IT services for large enterprises and the public sector. The company has nearly 30 years of market presence with numerous completed projects. The role is for a Senior Java Developer in a hybrid work model based in Gdynia.

• Minimum 6 years of commercial experience in Java development
• Good knowledge of Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and relational databases like PostgreSQL or Db2
• Experience in creating microservices
• Experience building distributed and highly available applications
• Practical knowledge of AI-supported programming tools, e.g., GitHub Copilot
• Good knowledge of REST API, Maven, and JUnit
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level

Nice to have:

• Experience with Kafka, Jenkins, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Specification-Driven Development (SDD)

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Design and develop microservices and REST API
• Create solutions for distributed and highly available systems
• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Db2
• Integrate applications with other systems and services
• Write unit tests and ensure code quality
• Participate in code review and team development activities
• Use AI tools to support code creation and analysis
• Collaborate in CI/CD processes and application deployment
