Power BI Administrator

• 6-8 years' experience in Power BI administration and platform management
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI Service, Premium, and Fabric
• Proven experience configuring and managing Power BI tenant settings, workspaces, and capacities
• In-depth knowledge of Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS)
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining On-Premises Data Gateways
• Strong understanding of Power BI governance frameworks and best practices
• Experience monitoring platform performance, capacity utilisation, and usage metrics
• Ability to troubleshoot data refresh failures and connectivity issues
• Knowledge of security, privacy, and data governance policies
• Experience providing Level 2 and Level 3 technical support
• Strong collaboration skills to work with database, infrastructure, and network teams
• Experience supporting deployment pipelines and change management processes
• Ability to develop training materials and deliver user enablement sessions
• Strong documentation skills for operational procedures and knowledge base articles

• Administer and maintain the Microsoft Power BI Service environment
• Configure and manage Power BI tenant settings, workspaces, capacities, and gateways
• Monitor platform health, performance metrics, and usage patterns
• Manage Power BI Premium, Fabric, and Pro licensing requirements
• Implement and maintain Power BI governance frameworks and best practices
• Configure Row-Level Security (RLS), Object-Level Security (OLS), and workspace permissions
• Ensure compliance with organisational security, privacy, and data governance policies
• Conduct periodic access reviews and user entitlement audits
• Install, configure, and maintain On-Premises Data Gateways
• Troubleshoot data refresh failures, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks
• Coordinate with database, infrastructure, and network teams to resolve integration challenges
• Analyse capacity utilisation and recommend optimisation strategies
• Identify and resolve report, dataset, and workspace performance issues
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for Power BI users
• Assist report developers and business users with workspace management
• Develop and deliver user training and governance awareness sessions
• Create and maintain knowledge base articles and support documentation
• Support deployment pipelines and environment promotion processes
• Manage releases, updates, and configuration changes
• Ensure backup, recovery, and business continuity requirements are met
• Participate in audits and compliance assessments
