Senior Software QA Engineer

IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries. The Systems Engineering team is part of the Global Infrastructure & Operations (GIO) and is involved in processing and analysing a wide range of patient-level healthcare data, supporting complex healthcare challenges such as retrospective clinical studies and disease progression modelling.

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in software testing.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Robot Framework.
• Proficient in Python (intermediate level) and advanced SQL, with familiarity in Java and Scala beneficial.
• Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git and workflows using GitHub or GitLab.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools including Jenkins and GitLab CI.
• Experience designing test cases for complex data workflows.
• Defect tracking and management using tools such as JIRA.
• Knowledge of container technologies including Docker and container orchestration basics.
• Ability to present complex results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience collaborating with European teams, understanding cross-cultural communication and remote delivery.

• Design and maintain end-to-end validation across UI, REST APIs, SQL databases, and Databricks tables ensuring cross-layer consistency.
• Build and evolve ETL test automation for bulk, delta, and rebulk processing, contract-check workflows, and QC report validation.
• Implement metric service verification by validating calculated KPIs/metrics against source data.
• Develop custom Python libraries and Robot Framework keywords for ADLS, Databricks, data comparison, and healthcare-specific validations.
• Manage test data pipelines including CSV/JSON fixtures, VM file uploads, ADLS uploads, and environment-specific configurations.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Guide and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Validate UI/UX details including layout, visual consistency, loading states, filters, charts, and KPI presentation.
• Collaborate closely with QAs, Product Owner, ETL/MS/UI developers, and UX designers to align on requirements and resolve defects.
• Plan and execute test coverage across UI, ETL, and metric service scopes while managing parallel workstreams.
