Technical JAVA Leader

IT Factory is a dynamic company experienced in developing, implementing, and supporting IT solutions for a significant Polish company in the insurance and financial sector.

• Very good knowledge of Java supported by practical production experience
• Minimum 5+ years of experience designing and building web systems
• Experience building microservice architectures and distributed systems
• Very good knowledge of architectural and integration patterns, API design, and system integrations
• Very good knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Practical knowledge of relational databases (SQL, query optimization)
• Practical knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture
• Practical knowledge of observability (end-to-end) and application security principles
• Experience in code review, mentoring, and leading a technical team
• Experience in cross-team collaboration, co-creating technical decisions, and risk assessment
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level

Nice to have:

• Basic/practical knowledge of cloud (preferably Azure)
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps
• Experience with Agentic AI / AI in SDLC (e.g., use of AI in development, automation, architectural decision support)

• Designing and implementing solutions based on microservice architecture using Java
• Creating and developing APIs and integrations with internal systems
• Collaborating on system architecture and making technical decisions aligned with program assumptions
• Ensuring quality, performance, security, and scalability of delivered solutions
• Designing solutions using architectural patterns, Event-Driven Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Participating in business and technical requirements analysis, design, and estimation
• Supporting Product Owners, analysts, and architects in solution feasibility evaluation and technical risk identification
• Participating in Discovery and Inception workshops, including decomposing Epics into Features and backlog preparation
• Conducting code reviews, mentoring developers, and developing the technical competencies of the team
• Supporting the team in solving technical problems and maintaining high software development standards
• Cooperating with project, architecture, integration teams, and external suppliers
• Co-defining and implementing CI/CD processes, observability, and DevOps practices
• Supporting preparation and maintenance of development, integration, and test environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Identifying, analyzing, and escalating technical risks affecting program implementation
• Supporting the use of AI tools and Agentic AI in software development and automation of developer tasks
