Data Analyst Banking

The Data & Analytics Management team oversees the collection, administration, and control of critical data supporting various business lines within a global leading financial institution. The Analytics Integrity team ensures the quality and support of position, transaction, and computed data across major systems. The team operates globally, working closely with the Data Referential and Governance divisions to provide seamless data integrity for liquid, derivative, and alternative investment assets.

• At least 5 years of experience in Finance, ideally in asset management, including operational roles in Data, IT, front, middle, or back office.
• Thorough understanding of operational processes and the usage of major data users such as portfolio management, middle office, risk, quant, compliance, and financial controllers.
• Hands-on application experience with Aladdin or Adjuto.
• Autonomous approach to analyzing and solving complex requests beyond Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ability to understand data inflows and outflows, technical architecture, and business transformations applied to data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English with ability to liaise with multiple internal and external parties.
• Analytical mindset with ability to perform control checks, investigate discrepancies, and escalate appropriately.
• Proactive attitude in identifying operational risks and taking initiatives for risk mitigation.
• Very rigorous approach with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Ensure accurate integration of data from various referential and external sources into downstream systems to guarantee data quality and consistency.
• Implement and perform first-level database controls and proactively optimize data accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Develop an understanding of complex data transformations and computations within the firm's systems.
• Provide high-quality support to end-users, responding autonomously to requests from data users and project teams.
• Collaborate closely with Data Referential, IT, and Data Governance teams to resolve data issues and ensure end-to-end data consistency.
• Identify data issues, analyze potential impacts and risks, and propose solutions to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with major service providers (e.g., Blackrock, State Street) and participate in governance meetings to resolve critical data topics.
• Contribute subject matter expertise in operational processes and data modeling to support IT and Business project teams.
• Ensure formal agreement and documentation of any deviations from standard operating models.
