Principal Core Banking Solution Architect Consultant

• Extensive experience as a Solution Architect, Lead Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Principal Architect within banking.
• Proven track record in leading Core Banking transformation programmes.
• Experience defining architecture strategy, migration approaches, and target operating models.
• Strong experience with modern Core Banking platforms such as Thought Machine Vault, Mambu, 10x Banking, Engine by Starling, Temenos, Oracle FLEXCUBE.
• Deep understanding of both modern and legacy Core Banking ecosystems.
• Deep knowledge of Retail and Commercial Banking, Deposits and Lending, Product Manufacturing, Payments and Cards, Core Banking Operations, Regulatory and Compliance Processes, and Core Banking Ecosystem Integration.
• Experience leading architecture teams or multiple architecture workstreams.
• Ability to independently shape solutions and challenge architectural decisions.
• Experience working with CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Architecture, and senior business stakeholders.
• Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills.
• Expertise in cloud-native architectures, APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Strong understanding of modernisation and migration patterns.
• Ability to balance business, operational, and technical objectives when defining transformation strategies.

• Define architecture vision and target-state architecture for major transformation programmes.
• Lead architecture teams across multiple workstreams.
• Act as the primary architecture advisor for clients and senior stakeholders.
• Govern solution architecture throughout implementation and migration programmes.
• Lead platform selection, architecture assessments, and transformation roadmaps.
• Support strategic pursuits, proposals, and large pre-sales engagements.
• Coach, mentor, and develop other architects.
• Drive architecture standards, best practices, and capability development within the organisation.
