Senior Software Engineer, Mission Planning

Waymo is an autonomous driving technology company focused on building the Waymo Driver, the world's most experienced autonomous driver, powering fully autonomous ride-hail services and applied to various vehicle platforms. The Waymo Driver has completed over ten million rider-only trips and autonomously driven over 100 million miles on public roads across 15+ U.S. states.

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of backend or infrastructure experience

Nice to have:

• Experience with C++ or willingness to engage in professional development to maintain industry knowledge
• Experience working with nontechnical team members
• Experience with operations tooling, developer productivity, or developer tools

• Help build and evolve mission-critical horizontal infrastructure and tooling underpinning commercialization systems
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop systems and processes supporting growing business needs
• Scale systems to meet demands of commercial expansion and increasing complexity
• Solve real-world problems including world simulation for regression testing and evaluation of autonomous vehicle fleet management software

This is a hybrid role based in Warsaw, Poland.
