Lead of Data Governance

Link Group is seeking a Data Governance leader to establish and develop an enterprise-wide approach to data governance. The role involves defining principles, responsibilities, and standards to support reliable data, reporting, analytics, and AI across the organization.

• 10+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, MDM, Information Management, Reporting Governance, or Analytics Governance.
• Proven experience creating and implementing enterprise-level governance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of data ownership, stewardship, quality, metadata, lineage, business glossaries, and master data.
• Experience with reporting governance, KPI management, and governance of analytics or AI solutions.
• Experience in complex organizations with multiple business units and stakeholders.
• Ability to translate business and technology requirements into practical governance standards and processes.
• Good understanding of modern data platforms, cloud environments, and data governance or cataloguing tools.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including influencing senior stakeholders.
• Experience facilitating discussions, resolving conflicts, and building alignment across functions.
• Pragmatic and delivery-oriented approach balancing governance requirements with business flexibility.
• Fluent English and experience in an international environment.

Data Governance Strategy:

• Develop and continuously improve the organization's Data Governance strategy and framework.
• Define the target governance model, balancing central standards and business ownership.
• Establish a long-term roadmap for governance capabilities and maturity.
• Advise senior stakeholders on data-related risks and governance priorities.
• Promote consistent data treatment as a strategic business asset.

Policies, Standards & Governance Frameworks:

• Develop and maintain policies, principles, and standards on data ownership, stewardship, quality, and metadata.
• Define governance principles for master data and business terminology.
• Set standards for reporting, dashboards, and KPIs.
• Define governance expectations for analytics and AI solutions.
• Ensure governance processes are practical and proportionate.

Data Quality & Master Data:

• Establish and oversee an enterprise Data Quality framework.
• Define data quality expectations, thresholds, ownership, and remediation.
• Develop governance principles for Master Data Management.
• Support consistent data definitions and harmonization.
• Monitor data quality and drive continuous improvement.

Reporting, Analytics & AI:

• Establish governance principles for reporting.
• Define ownership and approval for key metrics and KPIs.
• Support use of trusted data sources.
• Define governance expectations for advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI.
• Ensure outputs are controlled, documented, and aligned with business and risk requirements.

Collaboration & Accountability:

• Define roles for Data Owners, Data Stewards, and governance stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Data, Analytics, Reporting, Architecture, Security, Privacy, Legal, Risk, and other functions.
• Embed governance principles into technology platforms and processes.
• Facilitate cooperation between business and technology teams.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement:

• Lead and develop the Data Governance function.
• Establish governance KPIs, risk indicators, and maturity measures.
• Provide management reporting on governance progress and risks.
• Adapt governance model to changing requirements.
