Staff Backend Software Engineer - Remote (Poland)

• Proficiency with agentic workflows such as Claude Code or Cursor Agent.
• Expertise in context engineering, including designing AI agent information architecture like repo structure and configuration files.
• Understanding of model routing trade-offs and multi-agent orchestration.
• Strong ownership mentality validating and refining AI-generated output.
• Solid coding skills and computer science fundamentals, spending approximately two-thirds of time on hands-on technical work.
• Experienced in Golang and Java/Kotlin, with flexibility to work with PHP and adapt to changing backend technologies.
• Expertise in scalable systems design with economic thinking and alignment to business objectives.
• Deep knowledge of scalable distributed systems, CI/CD, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, AWS, and both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Ability to align technical decisions with business strategy and influence without authority.
• Proficient English communication skills across engineering, product, and leadership.
• Self-starter with initiative.
• Skilled technical leader and mentor, acting as a role model to other engineers.

• Architect context pipelines for AI agents: curate context window inputs such as repo boundaries, domain knowledge, test outputs, and CI feedback to produce reliable code.
• Prepare agent-actionable task specifications with clear acceptance criteria and explicit constraints.
• Design and maintain agent-ready systems including well-bounded repositories, comprehensive test suites, and CI/CD pipelines supporting AI agent workflows.
• Serve as an AI Champion by contributing to workshops, curating agentic workflows, and mentoring engineers on AI-assisted development practices.
• Drive migration from legacy monolith to microservices by owning domain decomposition decisions.
• Set standards for GraphQL API design, RESTful contracts, database schema, and CI/CD quality across the organization.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to identify high-value problems and propose technical initiatives.
• Guide senior engineers to manage and reduce technical debt using AI tools responsibly.
