Airframe Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) Engineer (d/f/m)

Airbus Helicopters Polska Sp. z o.o. is seeking an Airframe Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer to join their structural analysis team focused on ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity of fuselage structures in the aerospace industry.

• Degree (Bachelor's/Master's) in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
• First-hand experience in fatigue analysis, fracture mechanics, and damage tolerance principles for airframe structures.
• Familiarity with FEM tools (e.g., HyperMesh) and standard industry fatigue and damage tolerance software routines.
• Python scripting skills are a plus.
• High attention to detail, strong collaborative skills, and a commitment to safety and innovation.
• Fluency in English (working language).

• Perform detailed fatigue and damage tolerance assessments on primary airframe structures to ensure operational safety.
• Prepare airworthiness justification documents and contribute to compliance with regulatory fatigue and damage tolerance requirements (e.g., CS/FAR 25).
• Support full-scale and component fatigue testing including load spectrum definition, test monitoring, crack growth correlation, and model calibration.
• Support fatigue impact analysis for in-service structural modification requests to maintain operational safety.
• Contribute to improving internal fatigue and damage tolerance tools by automating calculation routines using Python.
