Engenheiro Expert MERN Full-Stack

This role is for a Senior MERN Engineer joining the Modern Apps & Platform Engineering team at emagine Polska. The position is located in Lisbon and involves working on robust and scalable universal applications using the latest technologies.

• Minimum of 10 years of proven professional experience.
• Proficient in Next.js, Nest.js, Node.js, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
• Experienced in building and consuming RESTful/gRPC APIs.
• Good knowledge of database design and experience with MongoDB, DocumentDB, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git/GitHub.
• Solid understanding of front-end performance optimization and UX/UI principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to technically lead deliveries and collaborate with DevOps and business teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Knowledge of TypeScript for writing type-safe and maintainable code.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English (B1 level for English).

• Prepare solution diagrams (Application Architecture/Solution Architecture).
• Develop and maintain frontend applications using Next.js, ensuring smooth user experiences and high performance.
• Implement server-side features and APIs using Nest.js and Node.js.
• Design, develop, and optimize database schemas using MongoDB, DocumentDB, and PostgreSQL for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Maintain a component-oriented development approach, leveraging component libraries for code reusability and modularity.
• Perform code reviews and provide feedback to squad members to ensure code quality.
• Troubleshoot and debug application issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
• Collaborate with design and UX/UI teams to create visually appealing and intuitive interfaces.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and incorporate innovative technologies into development processes.
