Data Analyst, Regulatory Analytics and Reporting

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis and management within financial services or regulated industries
• Hands-on experience with compliance and regulatory reporting frameworks including AML, KYC, Sanctions, MiCA, or MiFID
• Strong understanding of regulatory risk and ability to work in high-scrutiny, audit-ready environments
• Expert knowledge of SQL, including complex joins, CTEs, and analytical functions
• Proficiency with Python libraries such as pandas, matplotlib, and plotly
• Experience with dbt or similar tools for data modeling and organization
• Skilled in setting up and managing data pipelines and workflow orchestration
• Experience with BI and visualization tools like QuickSight, Power BI, or Superset for executive dashboards
• Strong communication skills to explain complex data to technical and non-technical audiences
• Alignment with Kraken's values as outlined in the Tentaclements document

• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Information Systems, or related fields

• Solid understanding of cryptocurrency and financial markets

• Own the design of dashboards, compliance metrics, and regulatory reports for stakeholders and compliance officers
• Automate compliance data solutions, governance controls, and workflows to improve efficiency
• Analyze large datasets to develop scalable, audit-ready data models for regulatory reporting
• Translate regulatory and business requests into accurate reports and automated data pipelines using Python, SQL, DBT, and Airflow
• Lead cross-functional projects with analysts, engineers, and compliance teams to maintain high-quality data pipelines
• Monitor client data quality, identify issues, and coordinate remediations with responsible teams
• Support ad-hoc data requests for audits, exams, risk assessments, and daily business needs
• Deliver data-driven insights to influence compliance strategies through clear storytelling
